Important Announcement & changes ahead

To the crew of the San Francisco Station,

A week or so ago, my former XO, Commander Harry Heath, stepped down from his position as 1st Officer. “First life” has a tendency to get in the way, and I will always respect that. Commander Heath is nonetheless staying on the Station as a Security Officer.

On my end, life has been hectic, a combination of planning my move accross the Atlantic and work constraints. Which ultimately led me to not have the time to focus on finding a new XO. You may notice we haven’t had any roleplays since the San Francisco Opening… well, now you know why. It’s getting better now, I can finally get my head out of the water and back down for the San Francisco. I’m still committed to the project and I will not let the crew down. Our first mission should take place on Sunday, April 29th.

What will happen next

The Station can only operate for so long without a 1st Officer. I’ve constantly been juggling, and systematically replied late to new people who wanted to apply to the San Francisco (if at all!). If you’re one of the people who I took forever to respond to: I’m sorry.

Starting next week, the San Francisco Station will be looking for it’s new First Officer. If you’re already a crew member, and think you got it in you, come tell me why. Heres a list of things you will be expected to do, which mostly are about managing the day-to-day operations of the Station:

  • Coordinating with Branch Chiefs for branch RPs
  • Collecting, processing and posting Branch Chief reports
  • Getting feedback from Crew Members and conducting performance evaluations
  • Coordinating with personnel to improve admissions flow
  • Creating support documents
  • Responding to Application Forms, getting new members set up (that is very specific to those early months)
  • Making sure the Mess is always stocked with coffee ☕

While the last item on the list is pretty important, the most important thing out of the above right now is getting newcommers all set-up so we can actually have people in our roleplays. Rest assured, they will be amazing.

You will have more news during the week regarding our upcoming mission, which again will be on Sunday, April 29th at 10am SLT (Pacific Time).

If you have any questions in the meantime, my door is open. You can contact me either inworld or by email. If you don’t have my adress yet, please use the Contact Page, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your patience while we try to get things sorted out,

In Service,

Captain Benjamin Balan
